Sean Haleen Yoga

I come from the Rocky Mountains in the western United States. I grew up climbing mountain peaks and working in plant nurseries in Idaho. I completed my university degree in Geography at the University of Denver. Long before that, my mom first introduced Hatha Yoga to me when I was a young and reluctant 12-year old. As I aged, both my Tae Kwon Do teachers, who were also yoga instructors, and my ever-vigilant mother continually reinforced the physical and philosophical virtues of Hatha yoga in me. However, it wasn’t until I moved to Vancouver in 2008 for graduate school that I took my first Anusara Inspired class when I noticed a profound expansion in my practice. Until that point, I had only been doing yoga, but not experiencing or becoming it. Once this shift occurred, I decided to pursue a deeper understanding of the practice and began teaching yoga.

Profile Today, I’m following several paths in life. One of which is deepening my yoga practice and instructing. Another is finishing a Masters Degree in the Social Sciences. Finally, I, like everyone else, am a diligent student of life. I use all I’ve learned in school, traveling around the world, and practiced in my body to create a totality from which I teach and practice from.
